چکیده
Dynamical backaction resulting from radiation pressure forces in optomechanical systems has proven to be a versatile tool for manipulating mechanical vibrations. Notably, dynamical resulted the cooling of resonator its ground-state, driving phonon lasing, generation entangled states, and observation optical-spring effect. In certain magnetic materials, vibrations can interact with excitations (magnons) via magnetostrictive interaction, an analogous magnon-induced backaction. this article, we directly observe impact on spherical sample's Moreover, effects play crucial role many recent theoretical proposals; thus, our work provides foundation future experimental pursuing these proposals.

Dynamical backaction cooling with free electrons
The ability to cool single ions, atomic ensembles, and more recently macroscopic degrees of freedom down to the quantum ground state has generated considerable progress and perspectives in fundamental and technological science. These major advances have been essentially obtained by coupling mechanical motion to a resonant electromagnetic degree of freedom in what is generally known as laser coo...
متن کاملCavity magnomechanics
A dielectric body couples with electromagnetic fields through radiation pressure and electrostrictive forces, which mediate phonon-photon coupling in cavity optomechanics. In a magnetic medium, according to the Korteweg-Helmholtz formula, which describes the electromagnetic force density acting on a medium, magneostrictive forces should arise and lead to phonon-magnon interaction. We report suc...
متن کاملDynamical backaction of microwave fields on a nanomechanical oscillator.
We measure the response and thermal motion of a high-Q nanomechanical oscillator coupled to a superconducting microwave cavity in the resolved-sideband regime where the oscillator's resonance frequency exceeds the cavity's linewidth. The coupling between the microwave field and mechanical motion is strong enough for radiation pressure to overwhelm the intrinsic mechanical damping. This radiatio...
متن کاملTheory of ground state cooling of a mechanical oscillator using dynamical backaction.
A quantum theory of cooling of a mechanical oscillator by radiation pressure-induced dynamical backaction is developed, which is analogous to sideband cooling of trapped ions. We find that final occupancies well below unity can be attained when the mechanical oscillation frequency is larger than the optical cavity linewidth. It is shown that the final average occupancy can be retrieved directly...
